If you want to get your baby weighed, have any concerns or would like advice or information regarding your child’s development, have a chat with a Health Visitor at any of these drop-in clinics Health Clinics:

‘These clinics are run by the Health Visiting Department. You may attend any time the clinic is open. An appointment is not needed.’

Breastfeeding advice: Baby Cafe in Woking

Baby Cafe, Support & Advice – Monday, 10am – 12pm (arrive before 11.30am)

We support breast feeding mums at ‘The Baby Cafe’ in the YPOD, Woking YMCA, Chobham Road, Woking, GU21 6JD

The Baby Cafe is where breast feeding mothers can meet in a relaxing environment and get expert support and advice or just meet up for coffee.

All staff at Horsell Village Children’s Centre are trained Unicef Breastfeeding Friendly Advisors. We are available during Centre’s opening days and times – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9.15am – 3.30pm and Friday 9.45am – 11am.

Breast feeding - hiring a breast pump

Whether you are returning to work or for any other reason, and would like to continue providing your baby with breast milk, why not consider hiring a pump from the Children’s Centre. We have Ameda Breast pumps available that offer quick, effective and practical pumping.

Registration to Sure Start Children’s Centre is required. There is a refundable charge of £10 to hire the breast pump – this will be refunded on return of the pump.

There is a charge of £10 that covers the cost of the sterilised pack and £10 per month hire charge of the pump. The total amount of months you can hire the pump is for two months.

There will be a charge of £150 if the unit is broken or not returned.

Note to parents: Please contact us to ensure we have a breast pump available for you – contact number: 01483 729146 or 07775 440884. This service is only available to residents in the Woking Borough.

Post Natal 4 week courses for families who live in the Horsell Village and Sythwood Children's Centre reach area

This is a joint service run by Horsell Village and Sythwood Children’s Centres – Priority will be given to families who live in Horsell Village and Sythwood Children’s Centre reach area.

Course will cover the following areas: Introduction to Child Development, Basic First Aid for children under 12 years old, Introduction to Baby Massage and Baby Sensory workshop.
