Children's Centre timetable September 2017 - August 2018

Our Term time timetable at a glance

Families living outside our designated reach area could be signposted to their designated children’s centre due to capacity.

Advice to parents: Sessions are normally very busy, if the session is full to capacity you may be turned away and signposted to nearby activities. Please arrive promptly to avoid disappointment

Suggested donation for all Play and Learn sessions is 50p per family to cover resources. Suggested donations for others services in the Centre will vary.

Term time ONLY

Monday: Bump to Crawl, 9.30am – 10.30am

0 to crawling relaxed PEEP based play and learn session for babies. Please join us for coffee/tea and meet other local mums living in the Horsell Village area.

Monday: Crawlers to Walkers, 10.45am – 12.15pm

Introduction for crawlers into a general play ankd learn session. This PEEP based session provides specific activities and toys for crawlers to walkers that encourage learning and development. This may include activities such as; arts and crafts, sensory play, water/sand, messy play and fruit time.

Tuesday: Play & Learn 0-5 years, 9.45am – 11.45am

PEEP based play and learn session for babies that encourages children’s learning and development This may include activities such as; arts and crafts, sensory play, water/sand, messy play and fruit time.

Friday: Fledglings toddler session, 9.15am – 10.45am

Supported by Horsell Village Children’s Centre with individual information and advice.

Specialised Play & Learn sessions

 

Every 1st Wednesday of the month, Registered Home based Child Carer’s, 10.00am – 11.30am

Specific Play & Learn session for Local Horsell Registered Home Based Child Carers. The session may include activities such as: arts and crafts, sensory play, water / sand play, messy play and fruit time to encourage and support children’s learning and development.

Parents/Carers: If you have lots of questions regrding Home based Child Carer’s services, please feel free to pop into this session and meet local Home based Child Carers; they are always happy to answer any questions!

Friday: Young Parents Group, 12pm – 1.30pm

at Sythwood Children’s centre @ the YPOD Centre, Chobham Road, Woking Surrey, GU21 6JD.

What we offer: Welcome everyone with hot drinks, a FREE healthy lunch buffet, fun activities for children to explore, safe area for young babies, visits from external specialised support, singing time and reimbursement of travel expenses.’

Additional Targeted workshops / sessions

Our Additional Targeted Timetable at a glance

Please note, priority is given to families living in our reach area. If spaces become available, out of area families will be notified.

Advice to parents: Additional workshops begin promptly, late arrivals maybe turned away.

Donations for workshops / sessions vary. Donations cover a small percentage of the complete cost of the service. If donations become sparse, additional workshops may not be delivered again at the Centre.

For targeted workshops / sessions please express your interest by calling or emailing us. You will be contacted nearer to the time to confirm your a place. Workshops and courses will begin promptly, please arrive on time – late arrivals maybe turned away. Suggested donations vary per workshop / course

Tuesdays: Tempo Tots

Supporting your children with their speech, language, communication and self-confidence through a structured live music session with Charlotte, an Early Years Music Therapist.

Donation £3 per family

Wednesday: First Aid 2 hour course

Basic first aid for parents facilitated by a trained First Aid Instructor.

Donation: £10 per family

Specialised information, advice and signposting service

 

Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 1pm – 3.30pm

Do you have any questions about child development, parenting strategies, Child/Working tax credits, Early eduaction settings, writing CVs? Would you like more information?

Information, advice and sign posting on all areas of life with 0 – 5 year olds, for example, find out if you can access FREE FUNDING for 2 year olds to go to nursery, find out where your local nurseries are, support speech, language and communication,  support accessing the eAdmission Website to apply fo schools, loan books and toys, etc
